Super neat-o paper sculptures! A perfect mix of plaster and slinky.
“A mix of Moonrise Kingdom and Dexter…”
Just in case you don’t know of the Impossible Project yet…
Silence/Shapes is really the only series that interests me of this artist, but the use of colored smoke is even more beautiful when you read his description of the work – “juxtaposing violence and beauty as a political statement.”
Photo transparencies laid over painted canvases. It looks so simple, but turns out they are really complex, and beautiful! I want to see more!
If you can sift through her commercial stuff, her work is pretty incredible. Love her Iceland series!
This artist does tons of photo-based projects – from books to prints to installations. Check out her Inverted Landscapes, pretty trippy!
Supa sweet photographs + paint mixed media pieces.
Hasselblad and Holga multiple exposure street scenes from NYC (again, still wishing I was there). I think that these elevate the sense of motion and emotions on the streets of NY, beyond the character that the scenes themselves have. Not a huge fan of the Fuji film (not my cup of tea as far as color pallet), but otherwise interesting images.
