Robert Yeager

Robert Yeager prints his photos in sequences.  Sometimes very long sequences (as is the case with the following photo).  Many times there is little variation between the frames, but he seems to be communicating a passage of time rather than a progression of forms.

Josef Hoflehner

Josef Hoflehner shoots solely Black and white, high contrast square photos (mostly landscapes).  The graphic nature of his work intrigues me and the bold shapes in his photographs are eye catching, even at thumbnail size.

Alex MacLean

Alex MacLean takes beautiful aerial photographs such as the one below.  This is a area of photography that is very interesting to me, but I will probably never have the opportunity to explore much.  Perhaps from buildings, but not from helicopters.

One of my all time favorite photographers is Karl Blossfeldt.  He approached photography from a scientific botanical angle and took beautiful specimen images of many, many plant species.

Kerik Kouklis

Kerik Kouklis’ photographs are incredibly moody night shots that have a very hazy, dreamlike (but without blur) quality to them that I admire.  Many of her shots include both natural and architectural elements.

Laura Burkhalter is an architect and photographer who is known for her many photos of desolate desert settings.  She often frames he lone subjects in the far edges of the frame, creating a very lonely tone.

Marcus Doyle

Marcus Doyle does fantastic photography using a lot of complimentary colors.  Through careful shooting and some post processing he utilizes color to differentiate the planes of his photographs.
